Wrld Ctrl was started by Philip Grisewood, who began the project during covid lockdown, Winter 2020. Hand-crafted unique pieces produced in limited quantity. Colourful hand-dyed clothing that promotes individuality and diversity. Graphic-led streetwear that takes its inspiration from modern subcultures and the digital world.
Coming from a background of graphic communication and fashion, Philip studied BA illustration at Camberwell College of Arts, London. After drawing for various publications, Philip then moved into fashion. Creating graphic and textile designs for two labels 'Buddhist Punk' & 'Horace'. Both independent lifestyle brands in the UK and in Indonesia. Whilst in Indonesia, working closely with family owned factories, overseeing screen-printing and using traditional dying methods like batik and ikat.
Philip has since collaborated with numerous other brands including Human Error Store. Relocating from London to St Leonard's on Sea, Sussex to continue making and developing Wrld Ctrl.
